“It’s easy to be a Lions Club member. One only needs to have the heart to serve and it’s purely volunteer work, as members pay dues that go to the Lions Clubs International funding, which is used to fund recovery efforts after disasters and calamities, projects for engaging the youth, sharing the vision, protecting the environment and relieving hunger around the world,” region chair Ladyvir Canape said.
Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization. Its 1.4 million members are dedicated to bettering the quality of life for the handicapped, the poor, the sick and the aged. The motto of Lions Clubs International is “We serve.”
