Saipan Chamber meeting on Nov. 2

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly general membership meeting on Nov. 2 at the SandCastle of the Hyatt Regency Saipan.
The luncheon begins at 11:30am; the meeting starts promptly at noon. Note that this meeting will be on Thursday rather than Wednesday, for this month only.
Gary Camacho, executive director of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp., will update Chamber members on power generation, water programs, and the effect of Saipan’s growth. Acting Labor secretary Vicky Benavente will talk about changes happening with the agency.
There will also be a board election four Chamber directors who will serve for two-year terms. The number of votes available to each member company is based on the membership category on one’s application. For example, Category A receives one vote, Category B receives two votes, etc. Chamber staff will be prepared with the category listing and number of votes for each company at the luncheon meeting.
Toy donations for the Toys 4 Tots program, which is being led by Chamber committee Saipan Young Professionals will be accepted at the meeting. (PR)
