Hi! My name is Cinderella and I’m about 4 weeks old. I’m probably an Australian shepherd mix puppy.
I was recently found on Tinian. A human named Betsy Weintraub was visiting from Saipan and saw me lying under a picnic bench. At first she thought I was moving around, but realized that I was lying there motionless, with hundreds of ticks crawling on me! Gross! She took me on an airplane to the nice people at Saipan Cares for Animals where they said I had ehrlichia, a tick disease that can be fatal if not treated. They pulled over 300 ticks off of my body!
At the moment, I am blind, but the SCA people think I might be able to see again one day as I regain my strength. They are taking care of me and they hope one day I’ll make a full recovery.
All I know is that I would have died under that park bench and the nice people at SCA have given me a chance at life that I otherwise would not have had. And when I visited the Saipan Cares for Animals Community Outreach Center, I saw lots of other dogs and cats who they are also taking care of. What nice humans they are!
While staying with them, I overheard them say they needed something called money. You see, SCA receives no money from the government; they pay for everything themselves! As a thank you for saving me, I would like to invite other humans to donate to their cause and help save more sickly animals like myself. The humans at Saipan Cares for Animals will use this money to help the animals on Saipan (and some of us lucky ones from Tinian).
If you would like to help out, please visit www.SaipanCaresforAnimals.com, and click on the “GoFundMe” link that says “Cinderella from Tinian.” That’s me! Please give them some money so they can continue their efforts!?
Oh yeah, and you can also visit Saipan Cares for Animal on Facebook and do something called “liking” the page (not licking the page…that is what I do!) When you “like” the Facebook page, you’ll see updates on me as I recover! Plus, there are lots of other stories on that page about other animals they’ve saved, dogs and cats that are currently available for adoption, and how SCA can help you!
Thanks Saipan Cares for Animals, for saving my life! (As written by Jason Hudy)
