SAEF, Kids Cove promote 40 students

(Contributed Photo)  Saipan American Education Foundation School and sister institution Kids Cove Learning Center promoted 40 students this school year in separate commencement ceremonies at the Pacific Islands Club on Saturday.

Names as top students were Karen Marie P. Fajardo and John Joshua C. Valiente, who emerged valedictorian and salutatorian respectively, in the junior division of SAEFS. The first honorable mention went to Sophiana Jo T. Deleon Guerrero.

This year marked SAEF’s third commencement exercises. Thirteen students were simultaneously promoted to the next grade level: six graduated from middle school while seven students completed sixth grade.

For Kids Cove Learning Center, 27 students from K-3 and K-5 were promoted to the next grade level. Named top students in K-3 were Deena B. Karki, first honor; Jonald R. Gutierrez, second honor; and Alexandra M. Dalogdog, third honor.

Most outstanding students in K-5 included Angel Lou D. Buensalido, first honor; Erin Jasmine F. Abantao, second honor; and Betty A. Matson, third honor.

Tan Holdings senior vice president Glicerio Arago was the event’s keynote speaker, while Jacqueline Ann Fong, principal of both institutions, gave the opening remarks. Both events were also addressed by the institutions’ manager, Rick Brien.
