Ruptured main causes water outage
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the public that customers in Chalan Lau Lau, Beach Road, and Middle Road are currently experiencing an emergency water service interruption resulting from a ruptured 16-inch water main below As Terlaje Hill on Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road.
CUC Water personnel discovered the line break when water began to seep out of the pavement along the innermost eastbound lane just below As Terlaje Hill. Both of the eastbound lanes are currently closed to traffic as crews excavate the site. For the safety of our men and women working at the site, motorists are urged to slow down when traveling through the area and to take alternative routes if possible.
Repairs are anticipated to be completed this afternoon, Oct. 24, 2016, and customers in the affected areas should expect restoration of services soon thereafter as per water hour schedule.
