Roy Reyes passes PS exam
Roy P. Reyes, professional engineer and one of the owners of Pacific Engineering Group and Services, LLC, has recently passed the Professional Surveyor Exam of the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors through the Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
With the passing of the PS exam, Reyes is poised to achieve dual licensure status as a professional surveyor and engineer.
He achieved his professional engineering credentials in 2004 after having previously passed the Fundamentals of Engineering and Fundamentals of Surveying Exams as well as the Professional Engineering exam.
Reyes holds a bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering, and is a magna cum laude graduate of Oregon State University (1998), Corvallis, Oregon.
Among others, he is certified by the Guam NAVFAC and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in construction quality management.
He worked with the CNMI Department of Public Works from 1999 to 2005, starting as a civil engineer and transitioning to senior design engineer.
His experiences include contract administration for Federal Highway Administration projects, identification and prioritization of highways, and allocating design and construction funds from FHWA grants.
He was also involved in the right-of-way acquisition planning for anticipated projects and development of route numbering for the CNMI. He subsequently worked for Jacobs Engineering Group’s branch in Las Vegas, Nevada until 2009 as a project engineer, primarily designing county and city streets.
Since then, he has been serving the CNMI through private practice for a total of over 20 years of experience. (PR)
