Rotary Club of Saipan president Curtis Dancoe announced on Tuesday that the club has received over $30,000 from their sponsor club to be used toward beautification and community relief projects following the Aug. 2 onslaught of Typhoon Soudelor.

Brian Clayton of Megabyte stated that existing supplies are being stored in his office and are awaiting distribution among schools when the club purchases additional school supplies.

“We also need to fix the American Memorial Park playground, the Peace Memorial, and the Garapan skate park and complete dictionary distribution to the elementary schools,” Dancoe added.

In addition to these projects, the club will soon begin re-painting bus stops with the help of Interact and Rotaract members. (Daisy Demapan)
