Rotary Goodwill Golf Classic on Nov. 13

The Rotary Club of Saipan will be bringing back its popular Rotary Goodwill Golf Classic Tournament on Nov. 13 at the Coral Ocean Resort.
Instead of the two-person scramble, Rotary Club will be using medal play as the format for the 2021 edition of the golf fundraiser.
Tournament coordinator Das Krishnan said they are expecting a full slate of 144 players to take part in the Rotary Goodwill Golf Tournament.
Like previous years, there will be six flights—Championship Flight, A Flight, B Flight, C Flight, Ladies Flight, Senior Flight, and Senior 55-and-above Flight. Prizes across all flights is $500 for first place, $300 for second place, $200 for third place, and $100 for fourth place.
The Rotary Goodwill Golf Tournament will have a 6am showtime and a 7am shotgun start. Early registration is $120 with late registration setting participants back $140. There is also a $25 option play for closest to the pin in holes No. 3, 7, 12, and 14, accurate circle front in hole No. 6, and accurate circle back in hole No. 16.

Last year, cousins Jack and Ramon San Nicolas topped the 2020 Rotary Goodwill Golf Classic Tournament held at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort. The duo scored a 4-under par 32 on the front nine and 2-over par 38 on the back and with their 0 handicap, they still wound up with a net score of 70, narrowly defeating the teams of Diego Benavente/Joji Taguchi and Freddie Cataluna/Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho. A total of 100 took part in last year’s tournament.
