The Rotary Club of Saipan inducted three new members last Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.
The new Rotarians are Wendell Posadas, Perry Inos Jr., and returning member Brian Clayton.
“It is my pleasure on behalf of the board of directors and the members of the Rotary Club of Saipan to welcome you as members,” club president Laila Boyer told the new members. “While we can make you a member of our Rotary Club, we cannot make you a Rotarian in the true sense of the word. That is a distinction which you must gain for yourself.”
She said that Posadas and Inos will be ambassadors for their respective vocations and any information that they have must “naturally come to us through you.”
Returning member Brian Clayton was inducted as a new member as well and a returnee for the Rotary Club. “Wow! I picked the wrong day to be late,” he joked after his induction. “Thank you for having me back, I was away for almost a year or so. I missed everyone and it’s a pleasure to be back and I’m looking forward to being a part of the functions, fundraisers, and events and I’ll do everything to help.”
Inos said: “The Department of Commerce, as well as my organization, really thank you guys for trusting us to be part of your organization and being part of your committee for humanitarian needs.”
Posadas, in his turn, said: “It is a great honor to be a part of this organization and thank you for giving me this opportunity to share my talents, knowledge, and my time and also for giving me a welcome here.”
Inos is director of the Department of Commerce’s CNMI Small Business Development Center. He works with large and small businesses to push economic activity in the Commonwealth. SBDC starts jobs, starts businesses, expands businesses, and retains both businesses and jobs.
Posadas is a certified professional in high technology and electronic engineering.
Posadas was sponsored by Rotarian Richard Cody, Inos was sponsored by Rotarian and Associate Justice Perry Inos, and Clayton was sponsored by Rotarian Agnes McPhetres.
