A big group of Rotarians from Japan will be visiting Saipan next month.

According to the Rotary Club of Saipan president-elect Ivan Ilmov, the Rotarians will be from one of their sister clubs, Rotary Club of Tokyo-Hachioji South.

About 50 members of the said club are expected to visit the island for three days from April 23 to 25.

The club will move their Tuesday weekly meetings to Monday on April 25 for the special guests.

Ilmov said they will be looking at projects which both Rotary clubs can work on.

“This club wants to make stronger relationship. After we made our first student exchange program, they want to come and participate in our meetings and create projects that we can do together,” Ilmov said.

The Rotary Club of Saipan partnered with the Hachioji-South club for the Rotary Youth Exchange Project last January where two students participating in their High School Interact Clubs were able to participate.

This month, some students from Hachioji-South will also visit Saipan starting March 23 and will be hosted by the island’s local club.

Aside from Hachioji-South, the Rotary Club of Saipan is also sisters club with Rotary Club of Wakayama-Naka, Rotary Club of Tokyo-Atago, and Rotary Club of Vladivostok of Russia.
