ROP 16 to feature 19 bouts

A MMA duel between two female fighters and a title showdown are among the 19 bouts featured in Trench Tech’s Rites of Passage:16 “Unleashed” set for April 11 at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort.
The lone women’s tussle in next week’s event will have Saipan’s Victoria “2Quik” Reyes battling Elite Muay Thai Guam’s Brogan Walker in a 130-lb fight. In the bantamweight title bout, defending champion Trench Tech’s Vince “The Clinch” Masga will take on challenger Spike 22 and Guam Countershot’s Rick “2Slick”Camp.

Before the championship fight, another Saipan versus Guam bout will take place in the semi main event, as Guam Gracie Barra’s Jose “Young Blood” Ramirez collides against Trench Tech’s Ning “The Slicer” Cepeda in the 155-lb class.

In other MMA matches, Ernie Santos (HBP Guam) will face Allan “ The Silver Bullet” Aguon of Zalaka and Jay “Bonbon” Camacho of D2S will challenge Leo Mendiola of Zalaka for the 125-lb division. The third 125-lb fight will feature Seongho Chung, whose foe has yet to be selected.

In the 145-lb class, three bouts are taking place with Jerome Cruz of Guam GMT/UX meeting Trench Tech’s Walt “The Silent Assault” Florecio; Jones Langu still looking for an opponent; and Rob Eclavea testing Haini “The Protigy” Hofschneider.

In the 135-lb bouts, Mikey Sanchez of Purebred Guam will duel KJ “Man Down” Villagomez of Sea Horse; Scotty “Da Slaya” Eclavea of UX/GMT will square off against independent fighter Josh “Oh My Gosh” Cruz; and Lenny “Machine Gun” Sablan of Bantalan will slug it out against Kainoa “The Ghost” Wanket of D2S.

In the two 160-lb tiffs, Frank Quidachay of HBP Guam will be on the octagon first when he duels John Tudela, while Ryan “The Predator” Toves of HBP GUAM) is next as he takes on independent fighter Jun Taitingfong. In the 185- to 195-lb class, another HBP Guam bet will see action with Mitchel Torre battling Purebred Guam’s Erian Sian. For the heaviest bout of the night, Trench Tech’s Slade “The Rage” Adelbai will make a comeback against Guam’s Young Blood/GMT’s Rocky “The Rockstar” Quichocho at 220- lbs.

Meanwhile, ROP 16 will start with a kickboxing match between Ethan “Typhoon” Reyes of U.M.A. Team Ultimate Guam facing Jonathan “Britt” Camacho of D2S. The last two K1-teasers will have Primo Po going up against Trench Tech’s Jasper “The Disaster” Van Der Maas and Albert “Butu” Andrea of Guam Muah Thai meeting Tyndale “The Bugatti” Mariur of Team Mariance. All fights are tentative.
