The Rollers Basketball Association is set to pick back up from where they left off in its Spring Madness League that was postponed since March 15 as a result of the identification of community transmission of COVID-19.
In a short statement from tournament director Ethan Kwon, RBA games are still on hold but they are looking to resume the weekend of April 10.
“Originally, we had planned to reschedule the tournament for [April 2] but had decided to postpone one more weekend for Holy Week,” he said.
According to Saipan Tribune archives, the decision to postpone the league, which was heading into its championship matches with the U11 scheduled to complete its second championship match on March 27, came immediately after a number of community members tested positive.
In other news, in observance of Easter Sunday and Holy Week, there are no leagues and games this week for both the Men’s M-League and the Dove Women’s League. (Kimberly A. Bautista)
