Road closure in Chalan Kiya today
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. will be relocating today one concrete power pole across the road along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road, resulting in all four lanes of the road being closed to traffic for about 15 to 20 minutes.
In an advisory this week, CUC said the concrete pole relocation itself—which is part of CUC’s project to build a new sewer line in Chalan Kiya—is estimated to last five hours, from 9am to 2pm.
To maximize public safety and to minimize the power pole relocation time, both outer lanes along the Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road (the northern westbound and southern eastbound lanes) will be closed around the project site for the duration of the project, then all four driving lanes will be closed for about 15 to 20 minutes between 9am and 2pm.
Additionally, there will be a scheduled power outage from 9am to 2pm for portions of Chalan Kiya and the Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road.
CUC advises motorists to proceed with caution when traveling by the work site or take an alternative route as the road lanes will be closed during the project.
