RHI promotes 43 to high school

Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Junior High School promoted on Friday 43 eighth graders to high school in a special ceremony held at its campus.

With the theme “Take every chance, drop every fear; be the greatest, our time is here,” the promotional ceremony was attended by families, guests and education officials led by Board of Education chair Herman T. Guerrero and Education Commissioner Dr. Rita A. Sablan.

The school bestowed its top honors on Mary Heather Jingco, who emerged as the class valedictorian. She is the daughter of Nestor and Riza Jingco. The top student was accorded the prestigious Board of Education Award for demonstrating excellence in her studies.

Named class salutatorian and recipient of the Commissioner of Education Award was Richelle Mae Aldabe, the daughter of Restituto and Mercy Aldabe.

For the Principal’s Award, the honor went to Querida Maratita, the daughter of Dwaynce and Quindy Maratita.

Other honor students recognized were Jezzel Candia, Michelle Malaborbor, Aliah Roma Santos, Rhea Diane Dangan, Julia Maria Ogo, Alysha Hope Maratita, and Keilani Barcinas.

Friday’s ceremony was keynoted by grade 8th homeroom teacher Deseriee Barcinas.
