School year 2022-2023 saw the return of soccer moms—and stage dads who always know better than the referees—with the resumption of full-time interscholastic sports.

Two years of stop-and-go leagues that sometimes were reduced to tournaments due to COVID-19 became things of the past.

Aside from futbal (as the rest of the world calls it), interscholastic sports that made their uninterrupted comebacks this year included volleyball, basketball, badminton, and cross country.

Much of the credit goes to Public School System Athletic Program director Nick Gross and his merry band of helpers.
