Barit and Cultura both ruled the weekly event for the first time last Oct. 7.

Both also went undefeated on their way to win the darts and billiards crowns.

Barit defeated Pam Ybanez in the finals of the darts tournament, while Cultura dispatched Rey Pinangay for the billiards title.

Barit also scored wins over Jose Osoco, Stanley Aldan, Boom Cruz, and Ybanez, who had to beat Ray Cepeda in order to arrange a rematch with his semifinals tormentor.

Ybanez, who dropped to the loser’s bracket after that loss to Barit, rebounded with a much-needed win over Cepeda.

His other victories were against Paul Quizon, Jun Santos, and Pete Togawa before losing to Barit in their battle for the first finals berth.

Barit earned $100 and a trophy for his victory, while Ybanez settled for $60 and a T-shirt.

In billiards, Cultura foiled Pinangay’s upset bid in the title match. He went home $75 richer with a trophy, while his opponent had $45 and a T-shirt.

Cultura scored wins over Jerry Soriano, Boyet Sequioco, Joshua Woodson, and Randy Sablan before dispatching Pinangay in the finals.

Pinangay defeated Rodel Dela Cruz in the first round but lost to Joseph Achas in the next to drop to the loser’s bracket. He then breezed past his foes in the loser’s bracket to earn another shot against Cultura.

One by one, Pinangay defeated Manny Mariano, Soriano, Woodson, Achas, and Sablan before Cultura quashed his title hopes.
