Renewing Resolutions Sonnet Solutions

Share

“Renewing is called into play when the battle is a stalemate and you and your opponent are making no progress. Then you must renew your mind and begin as if over again. Let go of your former rhythm and begin with a fresh and different one. Renewing means that when we are in a deadlock with the opponent and cannot change anything about our circumstances, we instead change our mindset and win by using a new tactic. It is vital to understand renewing in large-scale strategy as well.”
—From The Fire Book, in The Book Of Five Rings, by samurai master Miyamoto Musashi (1584-1643).

I’m in the Mood for Zero

In these COVID times I’m in the mood for zero
despite two vaccination shots and a booster
virus variations remain the top anti-hero
Dr. Fauci still the top epidemiology rooster

I see no Washington D.C. saint, savior, or hero
while GOP blocks voting rights and Biden’s plan
infrastructure benefits them, their loss is zero
but they vote against Dems, every woman and man

I’m in the mood for no more Senate obstruction
simply because it seems very clear to me
that partisan politics leads to the dysfunction
of our democratic republic so dear to me

Those GOP opposed to POTUS 45 near zero
the US loses, McConnell fiddles, his hero Nero.

Tails of a Frying Lying Chicken

Why did the Bigly chicken cross the road?
he was scared of numbers on the other side
Which came in first the chicken or the egg
the correct answer is donate up a $ peg
When did the chicken cross the road?
he did it when a red hat fox came by
Who won the race, chicken or egg head
Egghead, chicken’s brains were scrambled
Bigly Chicken chickened out hurt by ego
What did the chicken see across the road
no taxes, power, and foreign bank loans
Why do people follow the chickenfat slob
money, power, and politics, fear losing job
Yudono Idotu says, watashi wa “tonchiki”
speaking ‘tongue in cheek’ all this weeky.
