Red Cross helps 8 family victims of fire

The apartment building located on Chalan Tun Antonio Apa Rd. in Fina Sisu was completely destroyed by fire in the early morning hours of May 17, 2014.

The American Red Cross NMI Chapter assisted eight family victims of the apartment building fire in Fina Sisu in the early morning hours of May 17, 2014.

The apartment building located on Chalan Tun Antonio Apa Rd. was completely destroyed by the fire.

Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to the scene and collaborated with CNMI Homeland Security Emergency Management Office to provide the families with much needed assistance for clothing, food, and a place to live temporarily.

“We are extremely grateful for the generous support of our donors and the entire CNMI community. It is through this support that we are able to help families and individuals affected by disasters,” said Paul W. Camacho, Emergency Services director.
