In celebration of Atkins Kroll/Toyota’s 100th anniversary in Guam, the company donated three new pickup trucks to the American Red Cross through their “Cars for the Community” program. With the support of the Guam Chapter, Atkins Kroll has sent one of the trucks to Saipan.
During the presentation of the pickup truck to the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter yesterday afternoon at the Atkins Kroll lot in San Jose, Atkins Kroll vice president and general manager Doug Brennan said the donation is part of the company’s way of giving back to the community.
“It is a celebration of 100 years on the island of Guam and this is their way of giving back,” he said.
ARC emergency services director Paul Camacho was grateful for the donation, noting it would be an additional car for their disaster and response team.
“It will help us with house fires, floods, and storms and we’re all happy and we’d like to thank Atkins Kroll and the company,” Camacho said.
He said the NMI Chapter has two disaster vehicles and the new truck will be a great addition.
Camacho also thanked Triple B Forwarders for donating the shipment of the truck from Guam to Saipan.
ARC executive director John Hirsh was also grateful that Atkins Kroll provided the signage for the truck.
“The agreement stipulates that all the use, maintenance and insurance for the next two years being donated by Atkins Kroll and Takagi and Associates, Inc.,” Hirsh said.
