Red Cross assists victims of CK apartment fire

A total of seven families were affected and displaced by a fire that destroyed an apartment building in Chalan Kanoa in the late evening of Friday, Nov. 7, 2014.

The American Red Cross-NMI Chapter provided assistance to the victims of an apartment fire in Chalan Kanoa Village in the late evening of Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. A total of seven families were affected and displaced by the fire that destroyed the apartment building where they lived. No one was reported hurt.

The Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to the fire scene and worked closely with the families to provide them with much needed assistance for shelter, food, clothing and other personal items.

“The American Red Cross is extremely grateful for the continued support of our generous donors. Their support makes it possible for us to continue our mission of providing relief and instilling hope for victims of disasters,” said Paul W. Camacho, Emergency Services director of the American Red Cross.
