Red Cross assists As Lito house fire victims
The American Red Cross NMI Chapter responded to Lana Drive in As Lito in the afternoon of April 16, 2015, for a house fire. The fire destroyed a duplex home with all its contents, and displaced two families with a total of eight occupants. No one was hurt in the incident.
Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent its spread to neighboring areas.

The American Red Cross Disaster Action Team provided temporary shelter and assistance for food, clothing and other personal needs.
“We are extremely grateful for the support of our generous donors and community, which gives us the means and resources to continue the Red Cross mission of providing hope and relief to victims of disasters,” said Paul W. Camacho, Emergency Services director of the American Red Cross. “The American Red Cross also encourages all residents to have working smoke detectors.”
