Red Cross aids victim of Fina Sisu fire

The American Red Cross NMI Chapter assisted the victim of a house fire in Fina Sisu Village in the late evening of Jan. 26, 2015. The individual lost all personal belongings in the fire that completely destroyed the dwelling.

“We are grateful that the victim was unharmed,” the Chapter said in a statement yesterday.

The American Red Cross Disaster Action Team was on scene and provided temporary shelter and assistance for food, clothing and other personal needs.

“We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our donors and our CNMI community. Their support makes it possible for the Red Cross to continue its mission of providing hope and relief to victims of disasters,” said Paul W. Camacho, Emergency Services director of the American Red Cross.
