Real Crispy Pata routs Matansa
Real Crispy Pata got off to a strong start, as it whipped Matansa Blazers, 6-1, in the boys U15 division in the 2014 SSS Christmas Youth Futsal Tournament last Saturday at the TSL Sports Complex.
Real Crispy Pata earned the lopsided win after going all out in the second half. Real Crispy Pata was up by only one at halftime, 2-1, before scoring four more goals to cruise to victory in its first game in the four-team division.
Edwin Kim and Bada Lee scored the two goals for Real Crispy Pata in the opening frame and added one each in the second half. Cody Leo and Joshua Abragan drilled the two other goals for the winning squad in the final half. Other members of Real Crispy Pata are Sunjoon Tenorio, Clayton Izuka, Christopher Aninzo, Keeanu Diaz, Daniel Bae Jue Won, and Alex Park.

On the Matansa side, only Evan Belcher scored in his team’s first game in the tournament. Joining Belcher on the squad are Chad Shankweiler, Taka Borja, Jherico Tiamzon, Jonathan Capayas, Jonah Pohl, and Davy Laxa.
In other results, Orange Rangers and Sisig United pulled of close wins in their respective division matches.
In the co-ed U12, Sisig United edged Orange Rangers, 4-2.
Rintaro Miyawaki powered Sisig United to victory with his hat-trick. He made all three goals in the first half to put Sisig United in the driver’s seat. Eun Syu Hahn posted the other goal for Sisig United and it was a crucial one, as Orange Rangers threatened to mount a comeback in the second half.
Sebastian Manabat kept Oranges Rangers’ hopes alive in the last 20 minutes of play with his pair of goals, but his team still fell short after failing to get contributions from other players. Orange Rangers absorbed their second loss in as many games, while Sisig United improved its record to 1-1.
Joining Miyawaki and Hahn on Sisig United’s roster are Antonio Cino, David Kim, Maya Sato, Maya Shimizu, Rinto Takahashi, Cullen Taisacan, Brian Sun Kim, Jon Villagomez, Andy Kim, David Meyers Jr., Danielle Colombo, Mark Esalan, and Erie Kate Ortega.
Orange Rangers also have a 15-player roster with Erica Santiago, Princess Alcantara, Jhoey Noble, Benster Benjamin, Angelo Ada, Ian Karl Maniago, Paulyn Grace Joyce, Brian and Ian Lubao, Merrick Toves, Daniel Mark Pablo, Jaydee Jose, John Mark Anastacio, and Kirt Andon completing the lineup.
In the girls U15 division, Girly Flowers & Rainbows bounced back from an opening day loss to Lady Blues after nosing out Oranger Rangers, 6-5.
Mary Kay Alferos and Catherine Joy Barrozo knocked in three goals apiece to hand Girly Flowers & Rainbows the win.
Barrozo scored a brace in the first half, while Alferos had one to lift Girly Flowers & Rainbows to a 3-2 advantage. Alcantara and Joyce also suited up for Orange Rangers in the girls competition and recorded one goal each to keep their team in the game after the first half.
In the second half, Orangers Rangers only matched Girly Flowers & Rainbows’ production, allowing the latter to secure the win. Joyce added two more goals for Oranger Rangers in the final frame, duplicating Alferos’ output, while Alipio and Alcantara earned one apiece.
