Public invited to free health fair
The public is invited to attend the “Health is the BEST Wealth” fair on Nov. 20, a Saturday, at the Kagman Community Center, from 8:30am to 12pm.
This is an event planned for CNMI residents, especially those living in the Precinct 5 community, to promote active healthy activities and provide access to a variety of exhibitors who will share outreach and educational topics.
How will it work? Community participants will get a passport at registration. For every activity they participate in or exhibitor they visit, they will get a stamp. Once they go through the exhibits and activities, they will get a giveaway that promotes healthy activity, like sports equipment and the like. There will also be a finale raffle with a grand prize of a Fitbit! All participants who complete their passport will automatically be included in the raffle. Finally, a healthy grab-and-go lunch will be provided for all participants, while supplies last.
This event is sponsored by the offices of Precinct 5 representatives and has been approved by the COVID-19 Task Force. The COVID-19 safety guidelines of the 3-W’s will be enforced: Wash your hands, Wear a Mask, Watch your distance.
We are looking for interested volunteers for this and other events. Attend an online informational meeting to learn about this event. After the meeting volunteers can sign up on the teams. Employment opportunities are available too!
