PSS sets new re-opening dates
The Public School System has extended a week beyond the initial date for the resumption of classes of some schools as some campuses face massive damage.
The PSS announced late afternoon yesterday that nine schools would resume classes one week after Dec. 3, while other schools will open on that date.
The Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School, Kagman Elementary School, San Vicente Elementary School, Francisco M. Sablan Middle School, Hopwood Middle School, Tanapag Middle School, Marianas High School, Early Head Start, and the Head Start Program will resume classes on Dec. 10, 2018.
Garapan Elementary School, William S. Reyes Elementary School, Oleai Elementary School, Koblerville Elementary School, Dandan Middle School, Chacha Ocean View Middle School, Saipan Southern High School, Da’ok Academy, and Kagman High School would re-open on Dec. 3, 2018.
GTC, GES, KES, TMS, Da’ok, KHS, and Chacha would have full-day sessions, complete with bus rides as early as 6:30am and as late as 3:30pm.
OES, WSR, KES, SVES, DMS, and FMS will have double sessions, with morning sessions from 7:30am to 11:30am and afternoon sessions from 12pm to 4pm, depending on the student’s grade level. Both sessions will have bus rides.
Hopwood, MHS, and Saipan Southern will have half-day session. MHS classes is from 12:30pm to 4:30pm for all grades, while Southern and Hopwood will have classes for all grades from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 7:30am to 11:30am, respectively. Like the other schools, bus rides are also offered.
