The CNMI Public School System will be going back to blended learning starting Monday, March 29, 2021.

In an announcement yesterday, parents were asked to refer to their child(ren’s) blended learning schedule that was given prior to the 14-day self-quarantine that took place due to the recent community cases that were identified a few weeks ago.

According to PSS, the safety of PSS staff and families are a high priority and PSS will continue to monitor any community spread that impacts students.

In relation to this, PSS assured that schools will ensure daily sanitizing of classrooms, enforce social distancing indoor and outdoor, temperature checks will be conducted and documented, face masks and/or face shields will be required at all times for students, staff and visitors, and classrooms will be retrofitted to meet safety measures.

“This transition back to blended learning is a testament to the work of PSS and the COVID-19 task force,” said Marianas High School principal Jonathan Aguon. “Last year when we encountered the pandemic…we just didn’t have the tech yet. Now we have the MiFi devices and other equipment that will help with the transition.”
