Pride Marianas to host KIKI on June 19 at Aqua poolside
The Pride Marianas committee invites the CNMI LBGTQA+ community and all allies to join in this year’s Pride soirée—called KIKI—this Saturday evening, June 19, from 8pm to midnight at the Aqua Resort poolside.
Entry is $20 and includes two free drinks, a raffle ticket, performances, professional DJ, and pool access. Additional drinks, raffle tickets, and food will be available for purchase, with food and drink specials running all night.
This event is open to individuals 21 years and older. RSVP at https://bit.ly/3cMHtDG.
Pride Marianas KIKI is a safe-space celebration promoting inclusion and love among all people. All funds go toward covering the costs of creating this safe, inclusive, and fabulous event, and promoting a more inclusive CNMI that supports diversity and individual expression.
Historically, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender populations—LGBT—have faced discrimination, bullying, and other adverse treatment from peers, classmates, family, and other members of their own community. Some of this adverse treatment of LGBT individuals still occurs today. This celebration aims to fight these negative behaviors and raise awareness in our community. This celebration welcomes and embraces people from every color of the rainbow.
The committee has been hard at work to create a fabulous event for Pride 2021, and appreciates the support from all partners, sponsors, and allies that have contributed to making this event possible: Pride Marianas Youth, Top Shelf Wine & Spirits, Rep. Sheila Babauta, Marpac, Joeten Enterprises, Turnkey Solutions, Pacifica Insurance, Roil Soil, T-Project, Athlete’s Foot, Marianas Crane, Naked Fish, and Tribe Marianas. The support from all allies in the community creates a safer, stronger, more diverse CNMI.
