Gov. Ralph DLG Torres granted yesterday administrative leave for all non-critical government employees after 12pm tomorrow, Wednesday, in line with the Thanksgiving Day celebration.

Torres, in his memorandum addressed to all department and activity heads, said he is authorizing all non-essential employees of the government’s Executive Branch to take the administrative leave in the spirit of thanks.

“During this time of the year, we remind ourselves of the importance of giving thanks,” he said.

The governor thanked the community for continuing to look out for one another as the CNMI moves into “a new phase of recovery.”

“I thank you all for your mutual kindness and cooperation, as you have played an immense role in our progress as a Commonwealth,” Torres said.

He urged people this Thanksgiving Day Thursday to celebrate the community’s resilience, love and care for one another, and the successes that the CNMI has achieved from working together.

“My family, my administration, and I wish you and your loved ones many blessings, good health, and a happy and safe Thanksgiving,” Torres said.
