Power outages on Friday, Saturday
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has scheduled power outages this Friday, Sept. 22, and Saturday, Sept. 23.
The power interruption on Friday is from 2:30pm to 4:30pm and will affect Capital Hill. The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize the lines to allow CUC line crew to replace a deteriorated power pole on Capital Hill on Pohnpei Way, near the Department of Commerce.
Areas to be affected include Capitol Hill Rd., Tapochao Rd., partials of Chalan Galaidi, Capitol Hill Homestead, and Isa Drive (Cator Pl., Atbut Dr., Panao Pl., Aluw Pl., Kalaskas Dr., Nanka Ln., Ottot Pl., Cat Claw Pl., Apple Pl., Egigi Dr., Nosa Ln., Dulili Ln., Gaga Karisu Dr., Gagatasi Ln., IfetDr., and Yogga Ln.)
Water wells to be affected: CH-1, CH-2, CH-3, and TP-1.
On Saturday, the power outage will last from 5:30am to 10:30am and will affect Kagman. The outage is intended to allow CUC line crew to replace a deteriorated power pole on Kagman Rd. Areas to be affected include Kagman Homestead 1,2,3, and phase 4.
Water services to Kagman, Papago, and Upper San Vicente will also be interrupted during the power interruption; however, all services should be restored after the power is re-energized.
