Share

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. said yesterday that there will be a scheduled four-hour power outage this Saturday, March 8, 2014, affecting mainly Susupe and its surrounding areas.

The power interruption will be from 7:30am to 11:30am and the purpose is to de-energize the primary lines for CUC line crew to safely relocate three main primary power poles.

Water services will also be affected in the area during the power interruption; however, all services should be restored after the power is back on.

Areas that will be affected include the southern side of Susupe (Juan Nong St., San Isidro Av., Hamalap Ln., Brigida St., Barbara Av., Carmen Av., Chalan Kanoa Dr., Abraham Pl., and Kotdet Pl.), Mount Carmel Cathedral and school; Saipan Community Church and school; traffic lights in Susupe near Mt. Carmel Cathedral; and wastewater lifts stations.

CUC is urging the community to take alternate routes or exercise caution when driving through affected areas. For more information, call 664-7500/7503. (CUC)
