Power outage on Monday in Papago
There will be a scheduled power interruption on Monday, Sept. 10, from 9am to noon in Papago.
The sectionalized feeder outage on the Feeder 4 distribution circuit will affect Isa Drive, Papago Drive, Ahigaga Drive, Palm Tree Place, Maipe Lane, Pengua Place, Tangan Tangan Drive, Dagga Place, and Fresko Place.
No water well or wastewater lift station will be affected. Two power poles will be replaced.
The outage will allow Commonwealth Utilities Corp. linemen to do maintenance work on the power distribution system by replacing two deteriorated wooden power poles with new wooden poles along Isa Drive in Papago village.
The task is part of CUC’s maintenance program aimed at hardening and strengthening the electric power grid through the replacement of deteriorated power poles and electrical hardware.
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area.
