Power outage on Isa Drive on Saturday
There will be a scheduled power interruption along Isa Drive in San Vicente on Saturday, July 15, 2017, from 5:30am to 10:30am.
The affected areas are Kahida PI., Laulau Bay Drive, Achon Ln., Railroad Dr., Sinagu Ln., Tininu PI., Galak Dr., Makong PI., Pacific Heights Ln., Boya PI., Galayan PI., Mulberry Ln., Lantana PI., Palai Way, Magpa Ln., Langit Ln., Berbena Dr., Pakko Ln., Golondrina Dr., Nifen Ln., and Tangan Tangan Dr.
The purpose of the power outage is to de-energize the primary lines to allow Commonwealth Utilities Corp. line crew to safely replace four wooden power poles with concrete poles.
This is part of an ongoing hazard mitigation project of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to strengthen and harden the integrity of the power distribution system throughout Saipan.
Due to the scale of work to be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through affected areas.
