POLO sets new training courses for OFWs

The Philippine Consulate General, through its Philippine Overseas Labor Office, has announced the schedule of its free training courses for Filipino workers for the first quarter of 2012.
Tailoring and Dressmaking Batch II will be held for six Saturdays from Jan. 28 to March 3, from 1pm to 5pm. Domingo Del Rosario will be the course instructor.
For the Basic Computer Operations II, classes will be held for six Saturdays from Feb. 4 to March 10, from 1pm to 4:30pm under instructor Jousel Regilme.
Module I, which covers Introduction to Course and Review Software, Desktop Application, Internet Application, and Hands-on Exercises Hardware, will be held on Feb. 4 and 21, from 5pm to 8:30pm.
Classes for Module II, Personal Computer Architecture and Networking Fundamentals, is on Feb. 18 and 25.
Module III or Introduction to Building and Fixing Computer, Introduction to Hardware Drivers, and Hands-on Exercises, is scheduled for March 3 and 10.
Marcelo V. Masilungan will serve as the instructor for Modules I to III. All classes will be held at the Filipino Workers Resource Center at the ground floor of Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe.
Interested applicants are requested to bring their CW receipt/receiving copy from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, valid passport, and one ID picture.
