Police are hunting down a 32-year-old man who is wanted for assaulting his girlfriend with a plastic chair and a cassette radio at her house in Chalan Kanoa last Sunday.

Department of Public Safety spokesperson Jacqueline Rae Shepard said yesterday that police are looking for Vincent S. Camacho.

Shepard said that Camacho assaulted his girlfriend using a plastic chair and a cassette radio at her home, and slammed a child to the ground when the child tried to stop Camacho’s attack on his girlfriend.

The report did not specify if the minor is the couple’s child and if he/she was hurt.

The report also did not specify if the girlfriend was injured.

Camacho was last seen leaving the scene.

Shepard said Camacho is wanted on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, criminal mischief, disturbing the peace, and interference with a domestic violence report.

She asked anyone who has information on the suspect’s whereabouts to call DPS at 664-9001 or the Crime Stoppers hotline at 234-7272.
