Poetry competition for Veterans Day
With Veterans Day fast approaching, Best Sunshine International, Ltd. is inviting all students and the general public to participate in a poetry contest that is intended to show appreciation to veterans through a series of dedicated verses.
The contest will have four categories: (1) elementary schools (1st to 5th grades); junior high schools (6th to 8th grades); high school (9th to 12th grades); and the public (everyone 18 years old and above).
In the elementary school category, the entry should not exceed five lines. In the junior high category, length should not exceed eight lines. High school entries should not exceed 10 lines. Entries from the public should not exceed 15 lines.
All entries should feature the subject of veterans.
Deadline for submission is Nov. 9, 2015, at 4pm. Email poems to csrbestsunshine@gmail.com or you can drop off your poems at the third floor of the Bank of Guam building in Garapan; see Kelly or Ryan at the front desk.
There will be prizes for each category. All entries will become the property of Best Sunshine International, Ltd.
