At a time when a dozen eggs costs north of $6, Plumeria Steakhouse is making the impossible by introducing a $6.95 breakfast menu with one of the bestsellers being its Plumeria Breakfast Plate.
General manager Steve Jang said they started the $6.95 breakfast at the Beach Road, Garapan restaurant two months ago as a way of promoting Plumeria Steakhouse and at the same time giving back to the local community.
So far the bestsellers have been the aforementioned Plumeria Breakfast Plate, which is a bountiful island-style dish; different types of omelets, and of course you can’t leave out America’s favorite, good ‘ole American Breakfast.
The Plumeria Breakfast Plate consists of steamed rice, bacon, eggs, spam, scrambled eggs, and your choice of sausage; while American Breakfast is made up of crispy bacon, sausage, toast and egg.
They also serve Spanish melet, which has fresh potato, white onions, and fresh parsley. The cheese variant comes with, of course, cheddar cheese, and white onions.
For sweet tooths out there, there’s also banana crepe and French toast; and for health buffs Plumeria Steakhouse also has their Chef’s Green Salad with their own secret house dressings. Vegetable omelet is made up of fresh potatoes, bell pepper, tomato, mushroom, and onions.
The $6.95 breakfast menu also comes with unlimited coffee as well as the excellent service and the bon vibrant atmosphere that comes with dining at Plumeria Steakhouse.
“It’s not about making profit or not on our $6.95 breakfast menu, but it’s about extending hospitality to our local friends and relatives. I like the fact that a lot of people try it and they become repeat customers for lunch and dinner. I’ve also got to meet my old friends who I haven’t seen for months or years when they come to try our new and affordable breakfast menu,” said Jang.
Since unveiling their breakfast menu, Plumeria Steakhouse has enjoyed a full house nearly every day with the busiest days being Saturday and Sunday, where diners tend to spend more time enjoying their food because of the weekend.
Jang said that the $6.99 breakfast menu has become so popular that they have to use the adjoining Ete Cafe to serve Plumeria Steakhouse customers.
As far as portions are concerned, Jang said Plumeria Steakhouse doesn’t want to overwhelm customers with a loaded plate and it’s something health-conscious diners appreciate.
“The comments I get from our customer is that it’s not too large. It’s not too small. It’s just perfect. So whenever I see an empty plate, it makes me very happy.”
Another bonus for introducing the $6.99 breakfast menu is that Jang was able to hire more cooks and waitstaff and existing employees added work hours that translates to more dollars on their paychecks. That in turn means more money circulating in the local economy.
Aside from getting the local crowd, Plumeria Steakhouse has also attracted its fair share of tourists to their breakfast offerings, especially tourists staying at guest houses or in bed & breakfasts around the Garapan area.
Jang also wants foodies to try out their 14-ounce sizzling New York Steak Angus Beef on special for only $30. It’s served every single day for lunch and/or dinner and comes with soup and salad.
Plumeria Steakhouse’s $6.95 breakfast menu is available from 7am to 10:30am everyday with last order at 10:30am. They are also open for lunch from 11am to 2pm and dinner from 6pm to 10pm.
Jang added “BABL or buy American, buy local!”
