PIU hosts 2K/5K fundraiser this Saturday
Pacific Islands University, a U.S.-accredited institution in Mangilao, will be hosting a 2K/5K fundraiser this Saturday, June 7, beginning at the Chamorro Village to Adelup and back to Chamorro Village. Show time at 5am and go time is at 6am.
This is not the first time PIU has hosted a 5K run, but it is the first time they have included a 2K route. The addition to the 2K route was intended to make the event more accessible to families with children or those who would like to participate in the shorter route. With the inclusion of the 2K, PIU has created special kids race designations and will be awarding certificates to top finishers in each of the kids divisions. There will also be activities just for the kids after the race.
