Pioneer businesswomen to be honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards
MAITE, Guam—First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business Magazine will present Lifetime Achievement Awards to two recipients on Saturday, April 30, at the 11th Annual Businesswoman of the Year Gala at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
This year, the Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to Nenita “Nita” C. Baldovino and June L. Chang.
The award recognizes businesswomen in the region who have been pioneers in their fields, have worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life in their island community and who serve as role models for businesswomen today.
Baldovino is the owner of Rambies Corp., which does business as Rambies Fast Food and Rambies Catering. Baldovino opened the first Rambies Fast Food Restaurant in 1987 at the Hafa Adai Exchange. She is the president of the Filipino Community of Guam, a position she also held in 2000 and 2005.
Chang is the president and general manager of Horizon Travel Center, which has been in business for more than 30 years. Chang is one of the founders of the Guam Travel Agents Association.
Proceeds from the gala will fund scholarships for students pursuing business and related degrees at the University of Guam, Guam Community College and Northern Marianas College.
