Pie-eating contest at ‘Taste’ tomorrow
The 17th Annual Taste of the Marianas Food Festival and Beer Garden at the American Memorial Park will have its second day tomorrow, featuring different performers, food, and a pie-eating contest.
The pie-eating contest will be held at the rear stage. At 8pm contestants under age 18 will battle it out, with adults taking their turn at 8:30pm.
The entertainment lineup includes Out of the Ordinary Band, Rose Dance Studio, Jamaican Tangantangan, Simiyan Manainata, and JJ Concepcion, and the TRU Marianas.
Food vendors will be Canton Restaurant, Coral Ocean Point Resort, D’Elegance Café, Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan, Furusato Restaurant, Herman’s Modern Bakery, Hula Girl, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Kanoa Resort, Marianas Resort & Spa, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, Sierra’s Pearl Shake, Thai House Restaurant, Tony Roma’s/Capricciosa, and Tropical Chill.
Beer garden vendors include Pacific Trading Co., Marianas Pacific Distributors Inc., and Northern Marianas Bartenders Association.
Taste of the Marianas is in line with the monthlong celebration of Tourism Month for the CNMI community to be aware of the “unique recreational, cultural, and lifestyle appeal of the CNMI and how tourism plays a great role in the CNMI in improving lives and the visitors lives as well.”
