The Magellan Restaurant of Pacific Island Club Saipan in San Antonio invites everyone to get a table and celebrate Easter Sunday with a family style brunch that will surely make the weekend memorable. After almost two months of going on a break, Magellan Restaurant is ready to serve good food with special Easter treats in tow.

According to Sales and Marketing manager Katy Hung, PIC is bringing business back. “…we are excited about the reopening of Magellan’s Sunday Brunch starting on April 4 Easter Sunday… Over the years, Magellan Sunday Brunch is always the to-go place for local family gathering to enjoy delicious food and have a memorable Sunday break with loved ones,” she said.

“This Easter Sunday, Magellan is prepared with special menu that includes crab legs, roast beef, whole fish, and more cold and hot dishes, served with unlimited wine, champagne, and other alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. Dessert menu is yet to be revealed but it will be festive related,” she added.

PIC closed early this year for economic reasons due to the pandemic. In an earlier interview, PIC general manager Gloria Cavanagh said that shutting down PIC at this time was a business decision. “We were suffering an additional loss with the opening of the hotel and a portion of the waterpark, so we would have to plan carefully. The additional loss was not a lot, but we need to reserve our capital,” said Cavanagh.

However, things are taking a turn for the best because Hung said that Magellan’s reopening will be followed by the re-opening of Seaside Grill effective next week for locals who missed spending happy hour there. Seaside Grill serves beer, cocktail drinks, and smoothies for non-alcoholic drinkers. They are also known for delicious happy hour food such as their fresh ceviche, lumpia, tapas, and more.

“This Sunday, PIC will also prepare an Easter Egg Hunt game for all dine-in guests without additional admission fee. The event will start from 12:30pm on Sunday… Magellan’s Easter Sunday Brunch is $39/adult and $19.50/child. For the regular brunch, special discount price is available for local residents, which is $30/adult and $15/child,” Hung added.
