TUMON, Guam—As part of the Pacific Islands Club Guam’s Christmas Celebration, PIC employees collected and contributed $4,000 worth of toys for a special holiday delivery to Harvest House on Dec. 15, 2022.
The PIC team donated Mega Blox sets, sandbox playsets, Star Wars plush toys, bath and swim toys, and infant toys to support the nonprofit’s 13th Annual Christmas Celebration.
“This year for Harvest House’s 13th annual Christmas Celebration for Guam’s foster children and families, we hosted ‘A Christmas Morning.’ At this event, we provided over 3,000 Christmas gifts and a delicious pancake and waffle breakfast. Nearly 300 foster children and their families attended this event,” said Ashley Lemley, Harvest House Resource coordinator. “We wanted to share our genuine appreciation to [PIC] for donating floaties, toys, and gifts for our Christmas celebration. Because of their generosity, we were able to abundantly bless the families and children that attended and have continually been able to give out gifts to families who were unable to attend the event.”
Ben Ferguson, general manager of PIC Guam said, “Our team wanted to celebrate the holidays by giving to those who could use some Christmas cheer. We are proud to support Harvest House, an organization that helps make the lives of Guam’s foster children a lot brighter. Every child deserves to experience joy at Christmastime and year-round. We encourage our community to consider supporting this wonderful organization any time of the year.”
PIC Guam also supported the Kate Thomas Foundation last month with an additional $4,000 donation of toys in time to deliver presents to Guam’s foster children for the holidays.
