Pacific Islands Club Saipan will be hosting its annual Dodgeball Tournament For Kids. All elementary grade school children are invited to this day-long tournament; however, there is a 16-team limit. It will be first come, first served.
There will be a pool play seeding tournament in the morning. The elimination bracket will begin in the afternoon. All of this will take place on the PIC tennis courts on Nov. 19 starting at 8:30am.
Pacific Trading Co., Bridge Capital, LLC, and Pacific Islands Club Saipan have made generous donations to the tournament this year.
Participating teams are asked to roster a total of 10 elementary grade students with at least two girls. Opening rush starts with six players each on both sides of the courts and two ball retrievers per team. Games will be filled with ball dodging action and excitement as these chosen students represent their respective schools, clubs, family, village, organization, etc to bring home the pride and prizes. The champions this year will take home $500 worth of sporting equipment and trophies!
“We hope to see the team sponsors come in strong and do their best working together as a team, promote good sportsmanship, and healthy exercise. Dodgeball has always been one of my favorite sports that I played with my friends when I was young,” said PIC Saipan general manager, Dennis Seo. “I am looking forward to seeing all the kids come out and play!”
“Kids! It’s time to take a break from your mobile devices. Time to come outside, pick up a ball, and have some fun dodging, ducking, diving, and throwing some dodgeballs!” said tournament director Dennis Tababa.
