issx9999ns154602Sean Perez powered Tan Holdings FC to a 5-3 victory over Inter Godfather’s, scoring three runs in the fourth and last game of the 2014 M-League last Sunday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.
Perez got his first goal early with a shot right into the second minute of the game, but Tan Holdings still fell behind after the first half, 1-2. Peter Loken and Masatoshi Otsuka nailed the two goals for Inter Godfather’s with the former making the equalizer in the 30th minute and the latter canning the go-ahead a minute before the first 45 minutes of play expired.

A Kwok Pun Wong goal in the early minutes of the second half forced a standoff, which Perez shattered in the 66th minute. Tan Holdings’ hold on the lead did not last long, as two minutes later, Ryu Tanzawa lit up the board. However, that was also the last goal for Inter Godfather’s, while Tan Holdings drilled back-to-back in a span of three minutes. Ruselle Zapanta logged the first one in the 83rd minute to break the tie, while Perez bagged the insurance, as he completed the hat-trick in the 86th minute.

Meanwhile, Korean Football Association on Saipan’s Brian Lee also got his offensive game going in the second half of last Sunday’s game against Matansa FC, as he fired three goals in their 5-2 triumph.

After neither team scored in the first half, KFAS had a string of three goals in less than a minute with Jun Woo Lee finding the back of the net five minutes into the second half and Brian Lee connecting back-to-back goals in the 52nd and 58th minute.

While KFAS struck three straight times, Matansa fired back only twice and the pair of goals came in wide gaps. The first goal, courtesy of Anamul Haque, was recorded in the 63rd minute and the second was at the 79th minute mark off Bir Tamang’s conversion. Four minutes before Tamang hit the board, Perez completed his hat-trick to keep Tan Holdings’ safe distance.

In the two other games last Sunday, Wild Bill’s and Sun Palace claimed contrasting wins. Wild Bill’s worked out a 2-1 win over Paire FC, while Sun Palace won via default against the Thundercats. Wild Bill’s drew one goal each from Jeeraphong Thoensaket and Tanapon Unsa in the eighth and 18th minute, respectively, while Ajani Burrell scored the lone goal for Paire in the 57th minute.
