Former Blue Haus stalwart Ehroll Peredo is back in the hardwood again after suiting up for not one but two basketball leagues in the state of Washington.

The 5’10” forward currently plays for the Saipan CNMI 670 team in both the Cassanova Basketball Association and the Net Rippers Basketball League.

Joining him in the squad are former Saipan residents Jaymark De Guzman, Albert Salas, Pat Tinio, Jed Villanueva, and Herbert Maranan.

The hospital distribution specialist said he’s only played in two games in the Net Rippers League so far, where they currently have a 3-4 record.

In the CBA, he has seen action in only two games because of his work schedule and the team finally won their last game last week to improve to 1-4.

As for his performance, the 44-year-old former IT&E employee said after scoring 20 points in his first game in the CBA, he has concentrated on defense and rebounding.

Peredo said he opted to play second fiddle on offense because Saipan CNMI 670 has a deadly shooter in the person of Salas, who is a deadly 3-point specialist. Salas incidentally is the nephew of Saipan referee Lito Salas.

He also jokingly attributed his poor play on offense lately to hanging out too much at In-N-Out Burger.

Peredo said both leagues are very competitive and in the case of the CBA, even boasts of ex-professional players from the Philippines like Elmer Lago, who suited up for Shell Rimula X and Ginebra San Miguel in the Philippine Basketball Association.

As for the team’s performance in both the CBA and Net Rippers Basketball League tourneys, Peredo said they’re starting to gel and are finally becoming more comfortable with each other on the court.

Before moving to Lakewood, Washington in September last year, Peredo won multiple championships and took home a slew of regular season and finals MVPs. He was also a regular fixture in the mythical five of almost all the leagues he joined. He has also won best in rebounds, best in blocks, and scoring titles on many occasions.
