Peleliu finally snagged another win in the return of the 2023 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association League after the Easter break against Asahi, 2-1 at the DanDan Softball Field last Sunday.

Peleliu hopped into the first inning and drew first blood after Asahi had nothing to show for in a 1-to-nothing game, thanks to an RBI single by Elmer Sablan.

Mabel Ngirngemelas pitched an immaculate game, giving up only nine hits and only one run which came in the fourth inning from Allen Teliu’s single.

The Asahi lineup could not produce and was only hitting singles and grounders that led to easy outs. It was indeed a pitcher’s duel because Peleliu would only score one more run in the fourth from Ray Villagomez’s RBI single.

Tokahao 18, Wazzup 6
Tokahao run-ruled Wazzup, 18-6, for a shortened five-inning game.

Wazzup brought in only one run in the first inning off a sacrifice fly by Jun Lizama, then at Tokahao’s at-bat, they brought in seven.

It was back-to-back singles that led to consecutive RBI’s and at the blink of an eye, it was 7-1.

Tokahao’s Jeff Cruz smashed one out of the park in the second for a two-run shot after also a two run inning by Wazzup.

It was lights out for Wazzup when Tokahao went ballistic in the first inning and scored seven in the third; Wazzup could not make contact with the ball as they only scored three more runs and lost in a 12 run deficit.

Man Amigos 17, Tuturamz 3
It was another shortened five-inning game as Man Amigos blew Tuturamz out of the water, 17-3.

Eric Palacios from Man Amigos was responsible for seven RBI’s as he homered in each of his at-bats, with a big home run in the fourth for a nine run inning.

Teammate Manny Sablan hit a lead-off home run himself in the second which started off a four run inning.

Meanwhile, Tuturamz only mustered up three runs in the first, second, and fourth inning, and by the time the inning was over, Man Amigos had 16 runs. Man Amigos scored their last run in the fifth inning and the game ended due to Tuturamz’ failure to score anymore.

Sufa 11, Aimeliik 1 Time 6
Aimeliik 1 Time has yet to win one time as Sufa defeated them, 11-6.

Pat Deleon Guerrero from Sufa hit a two-RBI home run in the fourth inning, followed by a three-run home run by Jun Salalila for a seven run inning.

Aimeliik scored two runs in the second and fifth inning and only one in the third and last inning, while by the fifth, Sufa had already scored 11 runs.

Momma Charo 12, Redmen 6
Momma Charo doubled the Redmen’s runs in their 12-6 win.

The first inning saw an eruption of nine runs from the lineup of Momma Charo and were silenced until the last inning when they scored three.

Even with no runs for five innings, they still managed to get the W because the Redmen could only bring in one run in the second, fourth, and sixth inning, with a three-run last inning.
