Thirty-four volunteers from the Saipan Awaodori Team and Kinpachi Restaurant took part in PDM Promoters, Inc.’s final cleanup of the year last Saturday at the Paseo de Marianas.

Led by Kinpachi Restaurant CEO and director Misako Kamata, the cleanup collected 600 lbs of trash strewn along the roads of Coral Tree Avenue, Beach Road, and the American Memorial Park.

The volunteers were made up 27 Saipan Awaodori Team members and seven Kinpachi Restaurant employees and they picked up trash from 9am and 11am.

PDM Promoters cleanup drive coordinator Sonia G. Siwa thanked the Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality for once again helping PDM Promoters by waiving the fee for trash disposal.

“We appreciate all the help and support we get from T-Galleria and TSL Foundation—our major sponsors—and BECQ and the Department of Public Works- Division of Solid Waste Management,” Siwa added.

Siwa said T-Galleria and TSL Foundation’s support enables them to have the cleaning materials needed on their monthly cleanups. Kinpachi Restaurant, meanwhile, provides the meals and snacks for the volunteers.

PDM Promoters’ monthly cleanups are held every Saturday. Volunteers of PDM Promoters will be at it again in January.
