AS GUAM RETURNS TO PCOR 1
PCG Guam suspends all consular services
The Philippine Consulate General in Agana, Guam, suspended all consular services effective yesterday, Aug. 17, 2020, as Guam is placed again under lockdown for the next two weeks. This means all confirmed appointments from Aug. 17, 2020, onwards are now considered cancelled, said PCG said in an advisory issued on its Facebook page.
The suspension will be in place until the government of Guam determines that the threat of COVID-19 has been effectively managed to merit downgrading from PCOR 1 status.
“During this time, we will also not be able to retrieve and process mailed-in documents for applicable consular services,” said the PCG advisory. “We apologize for the inconvenience that this will cause, but we reassure those who have confirmed time slots that we will do what we can to restore your appointment to the same time, or give you priority access when we restart the consular online appointment ticket system. However, our collective priority at this time should be to fully comply with all mandated restrictions and help ensure that Guam is not overwhelmed by this pandemic.
