Tinian Mayor Joey Patrick San Nicolas expressed his full confidence that Jovita SN Paulino and Bernadita C. Palacios will not only put the interest of the municipality but the entire CNMI first as they perform their separate duties.

Gov. Ralph DLG Torres swore in Paulino, who is going to represent Tinian on the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. board, and Palacios to the Civil Service Commission yesterday on Capital Hill.

San Nicolas said that Paulino would “bring continuity as she had already served at the board for a year and a half of the last term. “Now, she’s giving a full term of four years.”

Paulino said she can’t wait to get back to work with the CUC board. “We have lots of projects lined up for all the three islands.”

San Nicolas also had kind words for Palacios. “She brings a wealth of experience. …Having worked with her for many years, I have full confidence that she will make a huge difference on the commission.”

Palacios said she was also grateful for Torres’ trust and confidence as she begins her new duties with the commission. “I’ll do my best not only for Tinian but the entire CNMI that services will be fairly provided to all government employees.”
