Pardz triumphs over Tsingtao Boyz

Pardz Ballers notched its fourth straight victory after crushing Tsingtao Boyz, 94-63, in the 2019 One Pacific Promotional Basketball League last Friday at the Civic Center Court.

Pardz prevailed over Tsingtao Boyz after gaining cushion in the second quarter, which started with only 2 points separating the two teams. Pardz widened the gap, 43-30, after getting 13 points from Joseph Galulu in the second period.

Galulu finished the game with a team-high 20 markers—the same output Joseph Torres delivered for Pardz, which now has a 5-2 record to move up to third place in the team standings.

Tsingtao remained on top of the team rankings in the 12-squad field, but has a 7-2 mark, just slightly ahead of Connie’s BBQ (6-2).

Pardz completed the upset win over the league-leading Tsingtao after sizzling for 32 points in the fourth period. Torres and Ronald Bernardo finished off Tsingtao with the former firing 9 markers in the final canto and the latter delivering all his points in the payoff frame.

Jetzen Jandoc paced Tsingtao with his 17 points, while Jerald Rivera added 12. Tsingtao absorbed its second straight loss, as it never scored more than 17 points in each of the four quarters.
