Paire, TanHoldings shut down foes

Paire Football Club and TanHoldings Football Club eased past their respective opponents in the Masters Division of the 2019 Dove Women’s Fall League last Sunday at the TSL Sports Complex.

In the curtain-raiser, TanHoldings whipped Kanoa, 5-0, while Paire blanked MP United in the second game in the division, 4-0.

Natalie Hill Beyer drilled a pair of goals for Paire, getting her first in the third and the second four minutes later. Rhonda Gross and Reina Reftang delivered the two other goals for Paire after hitting the board in the 35th and 45th minute, respectively.

TanHoldings drew one goal apiece from Magie Chavez, Ma. Victoria Camama, Jessica Ortizo, and Eunnie Benavente in the second half to cruise to victory. Benavente also scored in the first half (25th minute), while her second came in the 40th. Ortizo made her goal in the 26th minute, while Chavez and Camama had theirs in the 27th and 50th.

Meanwhile, Southern United defeated Shirley’s Football Club in the lone Division B match last weekend.

Nathanette Blas opened Southern United’s scoring in the fourth minute and the team pulled away in the first half after drilling five more goals. Blas scored anew in the 13th minute, while Triola Roque also had a pair in the opening 25 minutes of play with her first recorded in the seventh minute and the second in the 19th.

Keisha Deleon Guerrero and Marinel Falalimpa were the other scorers for Southern United in the first half with the former getting her goal in the 21st and the latter three minutes later, while Roque completed a hat trick in the 42nd.

Shirley’s was shut down in the first half before Heather Zona, Stephanie Lumbad, Marilou Arriola, and Marielle Gariguez scored in the final 25 minutes of play. Zona broke Shirley’s silence with her shot in the third minute, while Lumbad, Arriola, and Gariguez lit up the board in the fourth, 20th, and 22nd, respectively.
